Identity theft “Phishing”

Be aware that identity theft, commonly known as phishing, can happen to property owners or managers.

Our homeowners and agents frequently contact with tenants via personal email accounts that are not protected by Spain-holiday.com. Phishing is a possibility with such personal email accounts. When a criminal hacks into a homeowner’s or agent’s email account, it is known as phishing. Once the phisher obtains access to the account, the phisher poses as the homeowner or agent and persuades the renter to pay money to the phisher’s account rather than the homeowner’s or agency’s account. To avoid finding yourself in a position like this, there are a few things you should do before delivering money to the homeowner.
